PARKING ATTENDANT
OVERVIEW
Start Dates: Various start dates, from late October to early November and late November
Salary: $9.75/hour, depending on the resort
Description
Parking attendants provide an outstanding experience for our guests. They are usually the first and last staff, guests will see daily. Usually a multi-skilled role predominantly ensuring the safety of both guests and staff in and around public walkways, facilities and parking lots. This position requires a lot physical labour including the removal of snow & ice, maintenance of signage & stocking/storage of salt.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Provide outstanding guest service
- Assist and direct guests in and out of parking lots in a professional, and efficient manner
- Shovel snow & chip ice in all public areas
- Effective communication via radio, including prompt emergency notification to dispatch
- Some resorts require staff to have a drivers license to operate company vehicles including plows, bobcats, sanding/salt trucks & regular vehicles
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE
- Passion for providing outstanding guest service
- Being physically fit is an advantage
- Fluent English proficiency
- Positive and friendly attitude
- Self-motivated with strong communication and teamwork skills
- Willing to work outside in all weather conditions
- Provide certificates specific to equipment and or machinery use & current drivers license (some resorts have a ‘no points lost’ pre-requisite in order to drive company vehicles)
