FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Terms & conditions/refund policy

Applicants will be sent The Working Holiday Club™ Terms & Conditions which need to be read, understood and signed prior to the commencement of the program. Any questions… let us know… we are very clear about what we offer and what we don’t… so should you need clarification, ASK!

  • Once these T&C’s are signed (online) and the program has commenced, should applicants drop out or no longer want to continue, all money paid, be it partial or full payment, is not refundable.
  • Once applicants have secured employment and commenced work, The Working Holiday Club™ will not interfere with the employment relationship. We are a facilitator of the employment relationship.

We are, however, always there for you should you have any questions down the track, are interested in a second employment opportunity or simply want some advice.

What is the UK work visa process?
  • The whole process starts with filling out our online application form and uploading your supporting documents. Our licensed working holiday visa migration consultant will work with you on a one-to-one basis, making sure all of your supporting documents are 100% correct, which will guarantee you get your visa the first time you apply. As part of the application process, we will help you pick the start date for when your visa will begin. Keep in mind that this date must be within three months of when you complete your application.
  • Once completed we will book your biometric appointment. This appointment is required by the government and is where they collect a copy of your finger prints, which will be used when arriving in the UK on your visa. You’ll be asked to provide these at the border (usually an index finger and thumb) when being processed by customs. The entire appointment takes all of about 30 – 45 minutes (be there 15 minutes early) and you will need to bring your supporting documentation. Before you attend your biometric appointment, you’ll need to pay an Immigration Healthcare Surcharge (IHS) if applicable to you (for a 2 year Tier 5 youth mobilty visa, if you’re from Australia or New Zealand this is usually £300).
What's included in the work visa?

You get:

  • Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa point score and assessment
  • Supporting documents guide & review
  • Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa application completed on your behalf
  • Corrections, review and application approval
  • Biometric appointment booked on your behalf
  • Support from your personal licensed migration agent, 9 – 5, Monday – Friday
  • 100% Refund Policy applies
  • We will also assist you in obtaining your IHS reference number
  • We will help you with a UK address where you can collect you biometric card
Who best suits this pack?
  • The Hospitality Jobs & Visa Package is best suited to London bound travellers who already have accommodation arranged and want to hit the ground running, securing employment before even leaving home!
What about my UK bank account?

Opening a UK bank account can seem nearly impossible when you first arrive. But as they say, every day without a bank account is another day without pay. The amount and types of identification required to open a bank account have increased since June 2015. If you are just about to arrive in the UK, chances are you won’t have the necessary documents you need, such as a tenancy agreement or utility bills. We will get this sorted for you in your first few days. Our specialised products have been designed for working holiday makers looking to start as quickly as possible one they arrive in the UK.

We will:

  • Do an online application for your new bank account
  • Secure an appointment for you to attend, where you can show supporting documentation
  • You’ve already got your accommodation arranged so we will use your new UK address when we lodge your online application
What is a national insurance number?

Your UK National Insurance number is a unique personal identification number allocated to you, used to identify you to HM Revenue & Customs and the Department of Work and Pensions. It ensures the Government correctly records any contributions you are entitled to or any taxes that you might need to pay to the government. Your National Insurance contributions go towards the UK social security and the state pension system. Everyone who works in any capacity in the UK will need to register for a National Insurance Number.

  • You will attend an orientation session where you can use our equipment and fill out your online application for your NI
  • You will use the accommodation arranged for you before arrival as your proof of residential address so that you can receive your National Insurance forms by post
  • You will need to attend an Evidence of Identity interview as part of the NI number application process
  • When you arrive in London you will attend an orientation session where we will book this for you.
  • You will need to take proof of address and proof of employment to this interview, along with your passport and visa documents.
  • You will be able to use your employment contract from your guaranteed job as your proof of employment and will use the accommodation you arranged yourself before your arrival as your proof of residential address when attending the appointment.

NO TRAVEL INSURANCE?

These are the world’s most expensive countries to stay in the hospital

Written by: Dave Owen

It might be the least exciting part of going abroad, but leaving home without travel insurance could end up costing you significantly more than your whole holiday. Comparison site Finder has worked out which destinations in the world have the most expensive hospital stays for uninsured travellers – most of which cost more than living it up for a night in a luxury hotel.
  • Leading the pack is Monaco, where a one-night hospital stay costs on average a whopping £2,583. In contrast, the average travel insurance premium for a week there costs just £19. That means getting insurance is 136 times cheaper than staying in a Monaco hospital for a single night.
  • The second most expensive hospital stay is in Luxembourg, where a one-night stay costs £1,360 versus £19 to cover insurance for a week.
  • The top five is rounded out by Norway, Qatar, and Switzerland.
  • The UK placed 23rd out of 189 countries included in the study, with an average cost of £423 per night for overseas visitors who have to pay.
  • The cheapest hospital stay can be found in the Democratic Republic of Congo at just £1 per night (though the level of care may be somewhat lacking…)
If you’re going travelling soon and haven’t sorted out your insurance, we recommend doing so as soon as possible. We have a dedicated travel insurance service with World Nomads to ensure you get the best coverage for the best price. Email To Get A Quote
